Many of our vintage pieces have stood the test of time, but we recommend taking special care to preserve them for years to come. Most items can be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent. Delicate pieces, such as heavily beaded garments or wedding gowns, may require professional or specialty care.
Accessories & Jewelry
Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight, moisture, and contact with perfumes or body care products. Clean gently with a soft cloth; do not use harsh chemicals. Some pieces may be sensitive to water and should not get wet.
Home Goods
Handle with care, especially delicate glass, ceramics, or lighting. Clean gently with mild detergent or dusting cloths; avoid abrasive cleaners. Silver and silver-plated items should only be polished with appropriate purpose-made creams or polishes. We recommend to avoid electro-cleaning on silver items.

Vintage sizing standards have changed over the years, so tagged sizes may not match the modern sizes we are used to. We recommend following the measurements provided for each garment to ensure a good fit. Because older fabrics often have less stretch, allow an extra 2–3 inches for ease of movement.

No. Modern clothing sizing has changed over the years, while sewing pattern sizing has changed in it’s own ways or very little, leaving an inconsistency with what we may see on a garment’s size tag. Using the measurements on the back of the pattern envelope or size chart is going to be the best way to choose the correct pattern size for you. Don’t be shocked if the number is quite a bit higher than you are used to seeing on your clothing - that’s completely normal. After all, Marilyn Monroe was said to be a dress size 14, which by today’s standards may be closer to a 2 in ready-made sizing. The same holds true for vintage patterns - a modern size 2 dress may be a size 14 in vintage patterns.
